Ormidale

Ormidale
The hotel is a splendid Victorian building, built in the 1850’s as the summer house of the painter Herring and his adopted daughter Jeannie, an authoress and London socialite, who in turn married the sculptor John Adams Acton. The building was converted to a hotel in 1935 when it was bought by the present owners grandparents
