Bed & Breakfast Whitehouse Scotland Approached along a treelined drive, Whitehouse is a country house with views over the fertile farmland of the valley of the River Tweed in the Scottish Borders, about an hour south of Edinburgh. It was built in 1872 as a dower house for the Duke of Sutherland and is warm, spacious and comfortable. Angela and Roger Tyrer welcome guests to stay for bed and breakfast. Roger is a very enthusiastic fly fisherman and is happy to help arrange salmon fishing on the famous River Tweed and sporting breaks in the borders area. Angela's hobby is riding and eventing, and she can help arrange riding for visitors at a variety of locations in this beautiful part of Scotland. They both like people to feel at home and share a way of life with a relaxed atmosphere, log fires and homecooked dinners. Whitehouse has been awarded three medallions in the Taste of Scotland scheme.
