Bunkum is a small (36 bed) family run backpacker hostel offering extremely spacious and comfortable accommodation for travellers and backpackers in a 150 year old Victorian townhouse in the vibrant West End of Glasgow.
The hostel facilities include a Common Room with TV, a large well appointed selfcatering kitchen with cookers and microwave oven (tea and coffee is provided), a laundry room, public telephone, a small library including travel guides and local history books and (free) showers and (free) security lockers. There is also a limited number of free car parking spaces adjacent to the hostel. Unlike many hostels Bunkum has no night time curfew and no day time lockout.
The hostel is set in a fine hillwalking and cycling area. Also popular here is pony trekking. You can fish the River Cree.
